The Story Behind
A glimpse into why we started Bake-A-Ray. From baking cookies with grandma to sharing them with the community!
Hi, I’m Rachel – but family and friends call me Ray! Bake-A-Ray was inspired by a lifelong LOVE of cookies. Growing up in Pittsburgh, I was taught the importance of a good cookie; from the must-have, elaborate cookie tables at weddings, to Fridays at Grandma’s house baking chocolate chip cookies. In my hometown, cookies are the go-to indulgence – understandably so! They have a powerful way of bringing comfort, from a simple Oreo to an extravagant biscuit, cookies spread smiles, cheer hearts and remind you of some of the simple joys in life.
Over the years, I’ve worked hard at crafting the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Grandma and Toll House laid a solid foundation for Bake-A-Ray, but I found that the classic chocolate chip could be so much more. With all of the time I have spent in the kitchen, I appreciate that there is a lot more to cookies than just chocolate chips. I have discovered a slew of flavors and combinations that take the cookie game to a whole new level and I am excited to share the love!
